Cor Rijken Verpakkingen Pouch Partner Adelmo Benelux

Adelmo has expanded its short-run pouch network into Benelux, with the appointment of Cor Rijken Verpakkingen as its partner to serve that region.

Adelmo is a recent addition to the digital flexible packaging landscape and is an online B2B platform for the creation, order and fulfilment individually printed pouches. Orders will be fulfilled by local partners. Germany’s Digi-Service & Distributions was the first adelmo partner recruited to handle and produce orders for digital pouches coming from the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region. Apeldoorn-based Cor Rijken Verpakkingen now adds Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg to the company’s growing network.

Founded by Cor Rijken in 1990, Cor Rijken Verpakkingen has grown to become an international player active in 45 countries, designing and manufacturing bags and flexible packaging.

Adelmo sated, ‘We are very proud to have convinced the leading supplier of printed and prefabricated packaging formats for use as primary packaging in the Netherlands. Cor Rijken Verpakkingen can look back on 30 years of packaging experience for food and non-food products. It has earned the trust of customers through high product quality, extensive expertise, reliably fast delivery and first-class service.

‘The cooperation is a win-win situation for everyone: our digitally printable adelmo stand-up pouches will be a useful addition to the current Cor Rijken product portfolio and we can now also supply our pouches to Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.’

Adelmo was introduced by Sihl last year. Using the its dedicated website and an online 3D tool, customers can create individual designs ‘quickly and easily’ using native templates or those of their own making. Finished print files including the desired design can also be uploaded and used to generate a live preview of a stand-up pouch. Orders are then placed and paid for online, with the order sent to a local production partner, which produces the pouches and aims to deliver them within five days. Utilising Sihl’s inkjet-based Artysio technology, pouches are manufactured in line with adelmo’s stated standards to ensure consistency and quality across the adelmo partner network.
